Film Description:
I chose the theme of mental health heroes for my piece of art this time, and I also want to use it to tell one of my friend's stories. I have a friend who is always upbeat and radiates positivity; she is a person who makes everyone around her feel good. She always has a grin on her face every time I meet her, and she is always there for me when my mood is unsettled or when anything bad happens to me. She comforts me and uses her positive energy to help me feel so much better. She not only supports and consoles me but also those friends around her when they are unhappy; in my eyes, she is a mental health hero who will always be there to encourage and listening to everyone. But one day I recognized that my friend, the sweet girl who was always smiling and happy, was not as strong and positive as she appeared to me and other friends. I eventually realized that her wonderful attributes and cheery demeanor were all masks she had made to disguise the darkness inside of her. She always spends time hearing about other people's stories, but she has lost track of her own experiences and emotions. My friend is currently suffering from depression and is undergoing psychological treatment, I still talk to her often on the phone because she is currently living in another country. Now, despite the fact that she is still receiving psychotherapy, her condition has improved, and she is beginning to open up more in sharing her struggles with friends and me. Although I am not entirely satisfied with my artwork this time and I do not expect receiving any prizes, I simply want to convey to everyone—especially the young people out there—that you occasionally need to actually listen to yourself. Because it's crucial to listen to yourself as well as others, and sharing your difficulties is much more crucial. You may improve the mental health of those around you by helping them with their problem, but you can also improve your own mental health by taking more time for yourself, trying to listen to yourself, and identifying and solving any problems that you may be having. You can be mental health hero to others so you can aslo be you own mental health hero just by learning how to listen to yourself more.
