Directing Change

Why Do I Feel Like This?

Tags: Monthly Prompt
Film Description:

This work includes a girl with ribbon wrapped around herself and her eyes. There is writing on the ribbon on her eyes which says "Why do I feel like this?" I made this piece to show that one's feelings may be hard to understand, and it can be important to reach out to others to talk about their emotions. The ribbon wrapped around her eyes saying "Why do I feel like this?" shows that feelings can be unpredictable and varying. It also shows that people can turn a blind eye to their own mental health issues. The ribbon that wraps around her body shows that people's mental health can affect their overall being, and not just their mind.
